The AI Awards – Trustworthy AI seeks out and recognizes organizations or individuals who are developing and implementing AI systems with the principles of trustworthy and human-centric AI in mind. This initiative highlights the connection between AI and ethics, opening up the debate on ethical issues surrounding AI’s impact on human autonomy, reliability, security and privacy. “Trustworthy AI is not just a set of rules and norms, but represents an important step towards building technologies that are developed in a responsible way. The AI Awards – Trustworthy AI aims to recognise and support initiatives that are taking this path,” says Maria Bieliková, Director of KInIT and Chair of CERAI – the Standing Committee on the Ethics and Regulation of Artificial Intelligence.
Who can get involved
The AI Awards is a nationwide award that highlights the efforts of domestic AI system manufacturers and providers. Entries are open to Slovak companies or individuals who have successfully developed an AI system or are collaborating with foreign partners in the field of AI in the Slovak market.
Login and evaluation
You can enter your AI system at aiawards.sk until 9 February 2024, where you will find more information about the award. The AI systems entered will be evaluated by an expert jury in two rounds between February 2024 and March 2024. The expert jury is composed of members of the Standing Committee on Ethics and Regulation of AI (CERAI) and Hopero representatives.
What the award winner gets
The winner of the AI Awards will receive a public award for responsible creation and use of AI, promotion of the AI system in the network of Slovak innovators through the European Digital Innovation Hub – Hopero and a professional and independent evaluation of the AI system by AI experts.
